The Store Before the Storm

All through the week, I kept seeing small warnings from people on Facebook about the impending winter storm headed our way. Very recently, I started seeing legit weather reports with big snowfall amounts predicted, and it started to feel more real.

Near the end of the work day, I decided to go out and grab some supplies. With a lot of snow in the forecast, I figured food delivery and grocery deliveries would be difficult/delayed, and we needed supplies at hand just in case.

Liz came along, and we made it a joint outing to stock up. And most everyone else in the neighborhood had the same idea.

The entryway, devoid of carts.

Long lines, but still felt like we got in before the crowds really arrived. A lot of the freezer items were starting to look depleted. Incredibly appreciative of all the Trade Joe’s employees who were running around, trying to keep everything stocked.

Looking back, it was fun to see a similar errand, prior to a storm in 2018. Same neighborhood, same location, but different stores.
