Early James: My Sweet Camelia
I’ve really been taken with the latest album by Early James. The sound of the songs I like… is incredibly difficult to describe well. Gritty. Dissonant hits, that have these slow, dirty resolutions.
So I pay the price, my dear
H?re’s to a measly twenty-three y?ars
I’ve got more beds to make
At the bottom of Marrowbone Lake

I’m not sure why I’ve been so drawn to this sound, lately. It’s very much unlike anything I tend to listen to (and very much unlike anything I’ve heard in a long while). I’m enjoying it immensely though, and think you might too.
