Backyard Rainbow

While we were preparing dinner tonight, Liz looked out the window and spotted this fantastic rainbow stretching across the sky. We both stopped what we were doing and immediately went outside.

We have a lot of trees surrounding us, but with the sun and the clouds… we had a pretty great view of this rainbow. I was texting a few neighbors about it, and in the course of just a few minutes… the clouds swept over, with the rainbow going in and out of view.

I love that we had the chance to encounter this, and while it was brief… it was lovely to behold. Both Liz and I were taken ot of our normal routine, and paused to just bask in the moment… for as long as it lasted.
