Liz Works on Tables, Chairs for the Yard

I came home yesterday to find Liz out in back, on the ground floor of our apartment complex, working on a new project. She purchased a table and some chairs a while back for our yard, and was hard at work brushing off all the old paint and rust from the things.

The plan is to paint everything, and place them under a little overhang by the front gates. On days like this, when Liz gets home from work before me and is already deep into a project by the time I arrive… I’m always awed. She’s a small whirlwind of energy and activity.

  1. Liz, you’re so crafty! I’d never seen your dining room table work since I started reading this blog after that. You should submit it to Design Sponge for one of their before/after posts! That was stunning work. Can’t wait to see what the end result of this set of table and chairs will be!

  2. Aww. Thanks Marty. This outdoor set is just going to be basic. All the prep work was to just wire brush the old paint and rust off and then 1.) Primer 2.) Yellow Paint 3.) Yellow Paint 4.) Yellow paint and 5.) More yellow paint. :) I keep having to turn the tables and chairs at different angles to get all sides and crevices painted and have two coats on all the sides. Thanks for the props on the dining room table too. That was quite a lot of work! It took me about 2 weeks or so to finish. But I was sure glad to be finished with it.
