Page France: Chariot

Here’s a song I’ve been listening to a lot lately – Chariot, by Page France. I got into this group ages ago, and this one song has stuck with me as a favorite.

I don’t know that I’d consider myself overly religious, but there is definitely a fair amount of Christian imagery in the lyrics. I think I lean that direction somewhat, as one of my thesis advisers in grad school pointed out that I tended to use a lot of Christian imagery in my poems. Odd in that I don’t really consider myself that religious.

I’ve had this song looping a lot lately. Many years ago, it served as a source of inspiration for me wanting to create a visualization for the song. The thing I wanted to create never really manifested, so I might go back and give it another whirl. With Flash on the way out, maybe I’ll see about using HTML5 audio and CSS3 animations…

I’ve been kicking around the idea of converting some of my older Flash projects. It would be nice to make them less dependent on Flash, and a lot more mobile/tablet friendly.

Oh, time. So many plans, so few days…
