Garden Arbor Construction, Part 9

Liz and I focused a lot on the arbor arches tonight, after work. While I got them sanded down a bit more yesterday… there was still a lot of material remaining. And a lot of fine-tuning still needed.
Doing the cuts by hand with a jigsaw (and also for the first time) was a daunting task. And I know I made a series of mistakes throughout. For the first few cuts, there were times I strayed too far into the arch; towards the end, I ended up cutting proud of the line to ensure there was enough material. And likely left too much material.
Liz and I recreated the curve we needed, and redrew some lines to try to get all four pieces to “match” up. And they’re matched up as close as we could get them.
I did a few passes with the jigsaw again, while Liz focused on the sanding and fine-tuning. The pieces are closer, but by no means identical.
I guess we’ll see what happens, when we try to put these guys up on the posts.
