Bold Backyard Bunnies

I was filling up some watering cans, to water the plants on our front porch… and looked up to see these guys, in the distance. One of them eventually came over and started down the driveway towards me. I was actually shocked to see just how close he came to me. And got a bit of it on video.

Once the bunnies had settled back in the yard, I called Liz on the phone. As I was talking to her, there was a small hummingbird that was nosing around some of the nearby flowers. These were some of her favorite animals, and she was totally missing it.

On seeing the bunnies, she immediately went back in so she could go onto the back porch, to observe them closer.

Not one, not two, but three!

With the third bunny (who seemed to be an interloper) chased off… these other two settled in for some rest and relaxation.

I pulled over our back porch chairs (very slowly)… and set us up near the grill. We brought some drinks out, and more or less just hung out with these bunnies… watching them chillax in our yard.

Of note: drinking whisky out of a glencairn glass that Liz picked up from Rabbit Hole distillery.

A lovely end to the day. I ended up insisting we stay outside, and the bunnies just kept re-emerging to run around a bit, and to relax a bit, in our yard. Definitely a rare day, to see three rabbits bouncing around in the grass.
