Revisiting Saintseneca

Seemingly out of nowhere, Saintseneca popped into my head. I haven’t thought of them in a while, but their song “Bloodbath” came to mind… and I’ve been slowly listening to it, over and over this last week.

They’re a group that looks to be very impressive performing/live. Here’s the group on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert, a while ago:

The part that I really wait for, the part that I keep coming back for… kicks in at around 9:00. A big part of it I think is the dissonance and slight chaos that happens, before everyone comes back together. I’m reminded a lot of Shudder to Think in this respect.

Slowly getting my fill of songs I loved from Dark Arc. And slowly exploring more of their later work.
