Pentwater Wooden Boat Show

Sandy, takinng another nap and dreaming yet again of wide open pastures.

Today, the family trekked out to the Pentwater Yacht Club, for a late brunch and a chance to look at all the various boats on display at the Annual Wooden and Classic Boat Show.

Spotted this sign inside, and couldn’t help but think of Portal.

Outside, several boats on display.

Incredibly small seating, with some areas barely big enough for one person.

Incredible designs – even though they’re still, they look to be in motion.

Several boats designed to glide on ice. Would love to see these in action.

Post show, we wandered around Pentwater some… going in and out of some local shops.

Ended up at an ice cream shop, for a late snack.

As popular as the boats are, ice cream also seems to be a staple of the town. More ice cream shops, per capita, than I’ve seen in many other towns.
