Felix Jung, 20×2 Chicago: What’s the Mission?

I had a fun night at Gman Tavern, participating in 20×2 Chicago. The event has 20 participants, all answering the same question in whatever way they wish… so long as they do so in 2 minutes or less.

Our prompt tonight: What’s the Mission?

Of note: this KPMG corporate anthem has lived in my brain, rent-free, since 2002. It’s not exaggeration to say that it genuinely was playing non-stop in my head, for the many weeks leading up to my presentation.

A lovely, unexpected, vulnerable moment by Beth Cummings that was just a pure delight to experience. For me, this moment represented the best of what a 20×2 event can be – open, real, and a unique, shared experience that brought the speaker and the crowd together in the briefest of moments.

By far the best performance of the night, and absolutely stole the show. Chad the Bird had me in stitches (evidence), and I was on the floor.

A hilarious presentation that involved not one, but two 20×2 veterans together. Elizabeth Gomez called out for an audience member to participate, and Eamon Daly answered the call.

So much fun to watch.

An incredibly touching family story by Juan Martinez, spanning generations and countries, decades and continents… all coalescing in a story being told, in a small room in Chicago.

The inestimable Don Washington, who I view as the official closer of 20×2 events because he’s just that good. And if you like this video of him speaking, you’ll love him in person (hint: come to the next event).

Lots of other great videos from the night – some from my old friend Ian. And I think several of us are all convinced that Alexandra really needs to be a part of this event too (we were talking about how it’s such a small city/world, and all these lovely people seem to know one another).
