We repeated a lot of the same steps on the fascia for the second crossbeam, but this time Liz and I worked together through the process… and we got through it much, much faster.

One big lesson learned: instead of cutting all the boards at once, we installed one board, then did a lot of re-measuring before cutting the second board.

There were still challenges, and still a lot of fine-tuning. But we got through this process much faster, with a lot less struggle.
