Fitting, given this morning. I ended up going back to sleep around 6 AM, and waking up at 6:30 (the workers are coming back today to finish installing the new waterheater/ducts).
I’ve seen this tag for a while now, and only today did I decide to take a photo. On the glass of the door is written “OATMEAL,” and beneath it “GRANOLA.” I’m figuring this is some sort of tag (made by hippies?), since a second door about 20 feet away also has “GRANOLA” on it. Not sure what this was about. There’s a “Pest Control” store across the street on North Ave, so maybe a few employees are protesting? Seeing this reminded me of Robin Williams’ joke about taking little kids to Disneyland, and how Mickey Mouse to a five year old is simply a six foot fucking rat.
Oddly, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen a skull in a car window. I think a big part of my fascination with window washers has to do with my fear of heights. Somewhere, a photo has no home. Another shot of the window washers, taken from across the river.
