Back Porch Repair

A fun and incredibly beautiful day today, with the weather in the upper 50’s and a hint in the air that Spring is just around the corner.

Bob was on a tear today, measuring cuts and laying out boards to repair the section of our back porch that we tore out.

Though I helped wiht some of the placement, I mostly stood back while Bob did his thing. I was in awe at how everything just more or less fit together.

Up next: we need to dig some post holes, so that we can make these posts a bit more permanent.

A really, really nice day out today. I’m reminded of outdoor work days from what feels like several years ago. Bob and I took a nice break for lunch, and had some burritos. The day was warm but not sweltering. And it was just a lovely day to be outside and moving. More days like today, please.
