Painted Pickets

Taking a break from outside work. I moved several pickets upstairs, and set up an impromptu painting area.
Before we close up the fence officially, we’ve got a section that’s really close to our existing deck. It’ll be near impossible to paint these pickets if we installed them first… so we’re reversing things: paint them first, then install them.
Going to be interesting to see how we actually affix these guys to the rails. I don’t think we’ll have enough space to use the siding nailer, so we might end up just using deck screws instead. Also not sure if we’ll have to screw them in from our side, or the neighbor’s side.
I guess we’ll figure that out when we get to installing. For now, we’re working indoors… which, given the recent heat waves hitting the Midwest, is a welcome change of pace.
