Working Downtown, Post-Work Errands, Returning to the Floors
With the workers coming back today, to address the various issues we found… Liz and I couldn’t stay home. So we did what we used to do in the old days – head downtown, to work onsite at our respective offices.

Selfie downtown, been a while.

I walked with Liz to her building, and was debating catching a cab to work. But I had some extra time to kill, and opted to hop the CTA instead.
Still weird to me, to head to the Merchandise Mart after all these years.

Post work, I dropped off Liz at a hair salon, while I went to Home Depot for some errands. Looking around for a plant, as a gift for Emily.

Found a nice option (low maintenance).

Looking for some new carpets, for Hazel.

Walked by the drywall section. A small art installation, depicting the intersection of gravity and time.

Back home, with a fresh coat on the first floor.

Dining room, with some newly purchased Ram Board (because Liz needs to get the doors back on horses, for a few more coats before they can be installed).

Upstairs view.

Flooring into the furnace room.

Main office.

Main office, looking to the North.

Main office, looking to the East.

Main office, looking to the South.

Our walk-in closet (off the main bedroom).

Main bedroom.

Liz, resting on the stairs and taking in our new (and new/old) floors.
