Prison Break: 20 Years Later

An odd thing: I never actually watched the show Prison Break. But it’s available on Netflix, and I started binging it (slowly). I’ve been getting in a few minutes here and there, during lunch breaks and in the evenings on my own.
It’s actually pretty fun. Though at a certain point, it definitely started to feel and dawn on me that I was more or less watching a soap opera. But I don’t really care.
It’s interesting to look at the breadth of multimedia available now. Especially when thinking about all the shows that aired only on TV, a few decades back. If you missed a show or a season, it was difficult to “catch up.” I think there’s a different problem nowadays – more choices and options available, at the click of a key. It’s less about catching up, and more about how many things you can realistically view.
