Upstairs Drywall, Day 5: Sanding, Primer

Expecting a mess today, with a lot of drywall dust in the air from sanding. Woke up early to try to get things covered up as best we can.

Threw some plastic over our new/temporary bedroom area. Also put up sheets protecting the entryway, as well as the entry to the furnace room… and all the returns.

Downstairs, trying to protect the bunnies living here (as well as the humans working from their computers here).

Hugo has his concerned face on.

Fast forward to the end of the day – things are looking smooth and clean.

Looking up from the stairs.

It’s hard to reconcile this space with what we’ve been used to seeing (there is decidedly a lack of exposed insulation to be seen).

Bunny window, at the top of the stairs.

Looking down the hallway from the front office.

The drywallers’ equipment in our main bedroom. They’re back tomorrow, to paint the ceilings.

A peek into the walk-in closet area. Will be interesting for us to get lighting in here, and to make plans for a custom cabinet.

// Note: ignore that unsightly pipe on the right. Need to find a way to remove that (it goes up to the roof). But that’s a tomorrow problem.
